THE VISUAL CLINIC BY PATRICK KINMONTH AND ANTONIO MONFREDA
Designers,Creative directors, curators, and filmmakers PATRICK KINMONTH and ANTONIO MONFREDA joined forces in 2007 to develop projects in fashion, photography, film and architecture. Since then they have conceived, curated and installed some of the most memorable fashion experiences of recent years, including Valentino’s 45th anniversary retrospective at the ARA PACIS MUSEUM in Rome which set new standards of presentation and imagination for this kind of exhibition, and ANGLOMANIA: Tradition and Transgression in British Fashion, at THE COSTUME INSTITUTE of the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM in NEW YORK.Many other projects, from Missoni’s flagship store on Rodeo Drive to last year’s MAKING DREAMS: FENDI and the Cinema, an immersive exhibition using projections and the moving image installed in the Cinema Manzoni in MILAN.This included a film directed by Kinmonth and Monfreda shot on location at CineCitta Studios in Rome.
Recently they have taken their work in film to another level, by establishing their own production company, called THE VISUAL CLINIC in association with Giorgio Horn as Director of Photography AND LORENZO AMBROGIO AS EDITOR AND MUSIC DESIGNER. The Visual Clinic has established a multimedia workforce and is developing film, still and video projects either in association with Kinmonth and Monfreda’s own designs or in the service of other companies internationally.
